I was so impressed by Tyler's performance in this episode. I just want to give him an Emmy.
Other than that, they need to call up Stephenie Meyer and have her do so some writing for the show. Maybe she can infuse some life into the characters because I am slowly losing interest in the show. Although the story line is becoming more interesting, character development has become stale. At this point, I could care less about the characters of the show. This whole Bonnie/Jeremy thing just seems for the sake of added drama and not because they have great chemistry or it making any sense. While Stephan and Damon continue to be one dimensional. Caroline is like the only character we see grow and get to know. Her relationship with Tyler is great because it actually seems sincere and we get a Bella/Jacob type of connection!! A real one!
Does Charlene Harris not like Stephanie Meyer? I feel sorry for Stephanie, she is this sweet innocent woman who took a stab at writing and gets the cold shoulder from fellow established writers.
Although I am beyond curious to find out if JK Rowling has read Twilight. Oprah interviwed her and did not ask her a single question about the Twilight series! Arrrg.
In addition to the Buffy recap, something else you guys could recap in the interim until Vampire Diaries comes back is Vampire Hunter D. Its an older movie/anme (1993), but a goodie.

Its one of my long time favorites. Part sci-fi, part western, part Lovecraftian horror world. The story takes place in 12,090 AD in a post apocalyptic world where nuclear war has changed the face of society and created a slew of mutants. The main character, D, is a dhamphir (half human/half vampire) who roams the countryside as a vampire hunter for hire. If you watch it and enjoy it, theres a sequel that was released in 2001 that some people think is even better than the original. If you really enjoy it, there are also 21 novels that fill in more details of the story and are illustrated by Yashitaka Amano, a favorite artist of mine.
Keep up the great work guys,
Mari (pronounced like Maury in Maury Povich)
P.S. - I also listen to App Slappy podcast and it was surreal hearing Eileen on there. I keep expecting to hear vampire news every time I hear her voice ! :D
Oh the first Vampire Hunter D sucked! I thought it was kind of boring and weird. But the sequel kicked ass! It was so good.
BiteCLub should totally include manga and anime! Ha ha. XD
Mari - ha! Maybe one day I'll do a review for a Vampire app. I just joined that show, and its been a lot of fun.
Paul - Shannon is out anime/manga girl. Maybe you can talk her into reading some material. Or maybe she's already read it!
